The Nuclear Inspectorate of the Swiss Association for Technical Inspections (SVTI) acts on behalf of the Swiss Federal Nuclear Safety Inspectorate (ENSI) to monitor safety-relevant activities performed in Swiss nuclear power plants.

It focuses on the mechanical components and systems of nuclear facilities that are classified for safety reasons, as well as the transport and storage containers for spent combustion elements and highly active waste. The Inspectorate also compiles safety-related reports and analyses, and actively participates in international committees and research projects.
